Notes and
News

Hello
everyone,
I don't know about you,
but temperatures hovering around zero
just make me want to curl up by the fire
and read a good book. With that cozy picture in mind,
check out our list of books to review – maybe
one will catch your eye. We'll send the book
on to you and the book is free – all we ask is
a one to two page review.
Our article this month is
by Nancy Csapo from the Business Information
Systems Department titled The Role
of Learning Styles in Effective Teaching.
It's a concise overview of how learning
styles affect student learning. Dan Gall
wrote this month's book review
on Teaching & Learning
Through Inquiry edited by Virginia
S. Lee.
The new
FaCIT website is up
so check out our fresh, updated look.
We've been working on this for several
months and hope you find it even easier
and more convenient to find what you
need for teaching and learning.
Check out the many new opportunities
for improving skills in Blackboard that
are available in the next few weeks.
Also note that the First Friday’s
for Faculty in March is Taking Control
of Your Time.
The Lilly
North conference Call for Proposals is
open – don’t forget to
prepare your proposals.
Until next time,
